Tooling and Finishing
Turn around time can be greatly reduced due to our in-house mold making capabilities. Clay modeling is also available. Our Pattern and Mold Making Division specializes in FRP Tools, Epoxy Tools and Mass Cast.
MASS CAST Mass cast tools are usually made of plastic material; however, metal inserts are sometimes built into the unit for added strength at certain stress points. Either epoxy or polyurethane may be used. Mass casting of plastics is usually used where large tool surface is involved. The dimensional stability of a mass cast tool is lower than that of a laminated tool but is still well within the normal tolerances of strength forming operations.
FRP (Fiberglass)
- Chip Brushes
- Quick-Change Laminating Rollers
- Radius and Corner Rollers
- Adjustable Volume Dispensers
- Diamond Cutting Tools & Blades
- Bristle Rollers
- Paddle Wheel Rollers
EPOXY TOOLS Epoxy molds or aluminum epoxy molds are reasonably fast in comparison to machined molds and are a relatively inexpensive way to create prototype and production tooling. New epoxy products offer a much higher compression strength and heat resistance. The molds can withstand injection and compression pressure with the use of aluminum standoffs or mold boxes.
