Resin Transfer Molding
Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), also referred to as liquid molding, is commonly used in the aerospace and automotive industry. The process consists of mixing resin with a hardener and injecting the combination into a mold which contains dry fiberglass. The static mixer regulates the resin/hardener mix to a certain ratio which is usually 2-3% hardener. The mix is then injected at a low pressure of 30 psi into a mold. The resulting part is cured at room temperature for several hours.
We can make parts up to 8' x 10' ft.
Possible Resin Type To Be Used:
- Polyester
- Polybutadiene
- Epoxy
- Polimide
- Bismaleimide
